I am hours and hours behind on editing our video hunts for the past 7 months but this little hunt was a quick edit.
It was a beautiful morning with crisp temps and a LOT of deer movement. A blessed day and #3 on the season.
It is best viewed at 480P.

Enjoy and have a safe season.

I believe I see a mechanical release being used... don't guess I have ever seen anyone use one with a tradbow !

Good shooting Jerry! Interesting setup too. I don't think you needed that tracker  :)

that was cool. enjoyed it. seems like that string tracker slows your arrow some, but it might just be an optical illusion.

I do think it was just the camera angle that made it look that way. I have shot string trackers for about 25 years with great success. I don't feel there is any appreciable difference in arrow speed but there is a HUGE difference in animal recovery.

Glad everyone is enjoying the video. I enjoyed being there, lol.

I had to laugh at the end of your video when you said your stand was nearly 30' up.  The whole time I was thinking, "damn, either it's the camera angle or he is up there"?  thinking to myself it looked like 30'.  Sure enough, you confirmed it.  Great self video - I envy those that can do all that(editing included)

What kind of camera?

The video was shot with a Sony HDR 160. I have filmed hunts for over 25 years and it is, hands down, the best camera I have ever used. This video was shot in HD but I did not upload it to youtube in HD as it takes HOURS for youtube to process them in that format.

Great video and congrats!

You did not need the string tracker on that one though (but you never know when that is going to happen)!

Ever since you convinced me that I could use the tracker thru netting, it has been on my bow for every hunt thru the last year. I swear by it now. I have recovered at least 3 pigs and 1 deer that I might not have without the string tracker!
