As I recall Mr. Hamm can handle that lenght without worrying about the lower limb connecting with the ground. If anyone ever got to witness the "Turtle bow" you'd have to admit the man can tiller anything.
Thanks for sharing the pics and info Ferret.
God bless,Mudd

Archery isn't something I do, it's who I am!
The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.

Yea Mudd the guys a midget isnt he. :biglaugh:   I try to not walk beside him because he feels self consious about our height differences.

If anyone wants to read a book by Jim about chasing a big whitetail they should pick up a copy of "Ishi and Elvis". Quite an entertaining read.

Nice job, Jim.

Now that is a beautiful buck, love those dark antlers.  And Jim's "Ishi and Elvis" book is very good.

To qoute Toecutter, "WOW!!"
I love the dark, tall rack on that buck! And those brow tines!! Then there's that bow!!!(Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my chin.)
I didn't realize at first that this is JIM Hamm. (Too busy look'n at the buck and bow.) This man's book got me started in all this. This buck reminds me of the one and only deer that I have ever taked with a bow...so far.

Now,Thats the stuff,right there.
Target archery is seeing how far away you can get and still hit the bull's eye. Bowhunting is seeing how close you can get and never miss your mark.

Great buck! Wonder if this buck is one of Elvis' grandsons.....

Thanks guys and gals for the kind words. In one sense, I've been hunting that buck for 40 years, and it's an humbling experience to actually get him with a stick.

Now, I'll have to really sharpen my act and try for another buck that size or bigger.....

Jim

Harry - Hope you and Too Short are taking an aspirin a day for blood thinners, 'cause I think once again you'll find sitting in a stand here interesting...

Ted Fry

Congrats Jim, good luck on the that size or bigger idea.
