thank you but i more so looking for just a custom riser or good production riser that i can fit my limbs onto because i would rather not dumb a ton of money into a new bow..i sorta dont want to have a bunch of bows around because i can only shoot one at a time, if that makes sense. after shooting and drawing back a bunch of bows mainly production bows, i found the limbs i like even tho they may be considered 'entry' or 'beginner' they are rather smooth and fairly quiet and quick. but i was hoping to find a riser that was better than the one provided. hope this helps with what i am looking for. thank you again for your help  :)

What is it you don't like about the grip?  Often times reshaping the grip is a relatively easy modification.

its big and bulky...like i dont mind the weight it helps counter the quiver but i dont like the grip itself, its two wide and im really no good at wood working, which is why i was looking for a custom or production that would work. im willing to pay on that area because wood craft is not my speciality    :help:

Oh, you want a riser.  I make those too, every now and then. (you started this thread asking about limbs, so that's what I though you were looking for)

Well,  between these two guys you should be able to get it done.  I did not order it (bought from another ) but once had a 3 piece takedown longbow that the riser was built by Dryad and Mike made a Nice set of limbs to fit it .  I bet he will have no problem going the other way arround as well.

Just search Bigfoot bows and that should prove Kirk as well.  Good luck!

You need to keep in mind that by changing the riser you may end up changing how the limbs feels, pocket angle and length of the riser can contribute to a different feel.

Find a riser that fits you and that you like and have the original riser re-worked to that same size and shape.

If you are planning on a different riser anyway, why not break out a wood rasp and modify your current riser? Even though you may not be a woodworker, unless you rasp it in half, what have you to lose? I have modified several bows to better fit me. Go slow with the rasp, check the fit/feel often. Once you get pretty close to what you want, switch to sand paper instead of the rasp. Use coarse 50 to 80 grit and work your way down to 250 to 400. Finish with TruOil gun stock finish. You just wipe on really thin coats, let dry and repeat. I like to buff the last coat with 4-0 steel wool to break the shine and give a bit of a satin finish.

Unless you plan to try to sell it, I see no reason not to give it a try. It might just turn out to be a perfect fit. If not, you can still have a riser built by either of the members who offered. If it works, you have an economical solution. If not, you aren't out much money.
