i have been contimplating switching to 3 under. what are the changes i can expect to have to make to my bow. tonight when shooting i kept the same anchor point as always just held 3 under instead of split. i grouped well just hit 6-10 inches low of where i was looking. should i have to change my anchor point, or just nock point, or maybe neither.    

who has made the switch? any info?

You'll only have to change your nocking point. It will be a little higher than your split finger set up. Bare shaft and see how it goes.

Yep, when I switched that is all I had to do.

I am in the process of switching also. It is working out good for me.

In the past every bow I had sounded like I was dry firing it when I tried to switch and gave up. At times it was scary.

Recently Joebuck (Joey Buchanan) gave me a tip that helped. He had me place some tape around my ring finger 1st joint so I wouldn't put a lot of pressure on the string with my ring finger. It worked like a charm and now my bows are as quiet 3 under as they were split finger.  

If your bows sound like they are going to blow up try it. It worked for me.

One other thing. I had been trying off and on for a long time but because of the above issue I gave up.

Bob Wesley told me once, "Gil it is hard for a split finger shooter to beat a 3 under shooter".

That was all I needed to hear, especially coming from someone like Bob Wesley!

I changed my anchor point when I switched from split to three under. I like to get that arrow right up under my eye.

I also find that putting very little pressure on the ring finger makes a big difference in the noise level shooting three-under. All my bows are tillered for split and I shoot them three-under and honestly hear no difference, just more accurate.

was there much of a difference in your accuracy. as far as hitting where your looking. it seems when i shoot 3 under at 10 to 15 yards i group well but i hit 8 inches low of where im looking. just hoping i wouldnt have to start all over again.

i will keep searching on here for info and see how things go.

Your point of impact is going to change when you switch from split to three-under because when you move your nock set up, you point the arrow slightly lower.  However, your brain will make the adjustments to your sight picture after you practice for a while.
Pressure on the ring finger is something to watch, so I now consciously distribute the string "weight" more onto the middle finger. I have found this makes a big difference in terms of noise and consistency.

I use the same anchor 3 u as I did split. I have a 30-40 yd point on depending on my bow/arrow combo.  
As far as finger pressure goes, I SHOULD work on mine as I hold too much on my ring finger and I know it but in really consistent in my shooting and happy with it.  BUT with that said, if you touch your pinky to your thumb when you draw it will cause you too have even distribution.  It's a good way to do it, I'm just stubborn and stuck in my way.

You might need a stiffer arrow when going from split to 3under in my own testing when paper tuning I can get perfect bullet holes with split when I go to 3 under I get a mean left tear.
Just something to consider.

When I switched from split finger to three under, I did not change my nock point as I was already using a 3/4 inch high nock and the arrows were still flying straight. I just kept using the basics and let my mind compensate. Pretty soon I was hitting better than I had in the previous 25 years. Persevere and you will overcome.
