I just bought a new summit open shot climber. I bought it specifically for a hunt out of state. My question is: how do you all attatch your tow rope?  what works best for you? thanks! D.

I tie mine round the upper climber portion

Great stands

that'd work. I gotta get it figured out before the end of this month.
great stands....... yep, I'm liking it so far. the platform is a little small.

Like Mitch I wrap mine around the climber section. My haul line is 20' long when it gets tight I know my platform is 17-18' which is where I like to hunt.

I just attach it to any portion of the upper piece. 20' rope and I climb to 15'

I got that stand last year and love it. I do like everyone else and attach a 20' rope to the seat section of the stand. Another little trick I learned (I think off here actually) is to raise the seat higher than you normally would. I set it so when I am sitting in the stand I have to angle my toes down to touch the platform. If you have a steep angle shot you can get your bow tip outside and under the seat section and don't have to worry about hitting the stand when you release.

I tie off to the right hand side of the upper section, once I have everything I need I secure the rope to the stand, I always worry about extra movement if the wind comes up.
That's why they call it hunting....

I do this with all my stands. I buy a small plastic boat cleat for tying off from Walmart and screw it on my stand where it's not in the way and doesn't affect anything. I tie my cord to it and wrap it around it. It's always with the stand and you just unwrap it as you need it.
