Ahhhh...The time is finaly here, another chance to prowl the woods with Bow in hand hunting Deer. Always the high point of the year for me and I'm sure many other's as well....This year's Deer season is going to be tough, my Dad is having some health problems and probably cant pull his bow back but he will in the woods for the opening evening hunt and hopefully many more...Good Luck to all and be safe.... Ah yes, here at last! And it finally cooled down enough to age the meat. Wet and quiet too; 4 inches of rain over the last few days. A pleasent change from the tinder box we've had right up to last week. And there's still corn standing. Time for some heart pounding knee knocking exhiliration!! Perfect opening day conditions. Have a blast boys!!

Can't get out till Wed Good Luck

I will be out as of now as the wind is gonna die down. I will hunt everyday now until mid-dec. rain or shine. I have the first 19 days of Nov. off as well. I do not hunt many mornings as I believe ya buggar up your hunting area, so I will only hunt a few mornings until the chase phase and rut. I have a stand i can get into in the morning and a SW wind will be perfect. Let us know how ya'all do, Best of Luck! Shawn

I have heard of two misses already....anyone else getting shots or seeing deer?

Nomad88(Damon) my son-in-law had two misses today and saw over 2 dozen deer. I saw 4 does and 1 buck and was getting ready for a shot and the wind betrayed me, it switched at least 20 times this morning. Shawn

Nice first good frost this am gusty switching breeze all day...am hunt..6 deer, 70-80 yards... this afternoon...7 deer, 1 small buck, spike or fork horn, 70-90 yards out. Buddies duck hunting son...No ducks(he bow hunts, but like me, he loves wood duck)...1 tresspasser booted, never to return I'm sure after the warm welcome I gave him hehehe... A Great day...
