Huntmore chair. pricy, but I love it. can't wait to hunt out of it this year. extremely comfortable and super-quiet.

I made one of these using a base and boat seat with a swivel.  It works really good and is pretty comfortable.

Best I've found for ground hunting...spray paint the legs flat black...Jim Jones from Firefly bows turned me onto this stool...has great back support...seat height 19"...fantatic height to shoot from....and the seat supports your ass great...It is rated to 250 pounds.

Breaks down in seconds and only weighs 2.5 pounds...if these folks marketed them in camo they would sell a bunch...it is hard to find green fabric...(I did) most are blue now and are made for hikers etc...cost around 50.00 ..but are quality made in USA....can't beat them for a ground pounder that likes to move around without xtra weight.

Make sure you order the roll a chair ...and not roll-a-stool....the chair has the back support

What ever you do, do NOT use this form of "Banana Hammock".  Everything from my tailbone down went numb.  I had the bright idea to take the frying pan I had at camp to flatten it out a little.  It was like going from Haiti to Hawaii.  Plus, how cool would it have been to kill a deer while sitting on a frying pan.  Some of my ideas (Read that as MOST of my ideas) make sense only to me but I tend to be a little more comfortable.  Got the frying pan for the trip, little did I know I'd drag it around with me all week.  So much for taking a cheap light chair to save weight on the hunt.

Don't know what the best choice would be.

What has served me well is Waldrop Pac Seat.

--Has permitted me to shoot a 62" bow vertically out a std DB blind.

- Has provided me comfort during extended hunts and some all day'rs.

-  Quick and quiet repositioning for taking a shot.

- Has provided adjustment for a comfortable nap.

- Easily straps on my blind bag and travels unnoticed.

I also like the Double Bull chair when using a blind but that boat seat looks pretty comfy!

X2 on the bouble bull. It fits us bigger guys in the area that matters most. I mean the butt and thighs btw

Shappel 360 is what i bought for this season. Legs adjust individually from 16 to 20 inches. Packs up nice. Weighs a little over 3 pounds. It is comfortable and easy to shoot from. It sells for around 60 bucks and its camo what else could you want.

Big Jim Hunter Seat is great if you have a tree to lean it against. Rock solid.  No possible squeaks.

Just spent a week in Colorado with a Huntmore 360. Without a doubt the best seat I've ever used.

I haven't used them all but I have a Huntmore 360 and can't imagine a more comfortable well built chair that is still portable.  It's heavier than some so if you pack it a long way a pack from or molle system would be better than the one shoulder strap bag.

My dad built this one about 20 years ago. The seat threads on and off. It allows for multiple 360* rotations. Very quiet also. It's heavy, though, so it's meant for leaving in the field.  



 

The ground where I hunt is all sand, with an inch or two of decomposed leaf material on top. Anything with chair legs sinks right on in, so I need a seat with bars across the bottom.

What I used last year, and it worked very well, was my broadhead target. Layered foam, very light weight, flat, soft surface to sit on. Plus, if I don't get a shot at anything with fur on it, I can at least bury a broadhead in something on the way out    

I may have to check out the roll-a-chair. It's taller than the 3-legged stool I have, and the back sure looks nice.
