I try to stand as much as possible, more so because I hunt open hard woods mostly with not a lot of cover. I feel that standing gives you a more vertical profile than looking like a big "knot" on the side of a tree.  as others have mentioned, It also make adjusting for a shot easier.

I'm lazy. I prefer to sit most of the time. I like to stand to shoot. I will stand for the last hour or so on stand when I'm really expecting action.

I need to sit,but want to stand up to shoot a longbow from the stand.  So I have to try to anticipate when it's the right time to get on my feet.  I like to hunt from the ground, too, standing in the shadows. Maybe I need a pop-up blind that accommodates a longbow!

Sit...I think standing it is easier to get caught moving and you have a steadier pose to shoot from while sitting.imo

TRAD101

always sit, for me it is more stable, lower profile.

I sit till I hear something or it becomes the last 15 minutes of legal shooting light.
I will get up occasionally to give my butt a break, but I get wobbly up there is I stand too long.

Sit, but will stand up to shoot if I can.

I  use ground blinds or tree stands on my property, preferring to stand in trees and sit in ground blinds. But like 9W9, I like to stalk and stand in front of trees most of the season on various state lands. I save my land for crunch time.
