I guess I have to fess up and show a little of my feminine side.....lol

I claim the same right the ladies do in "the right to change their mind".

Instead of doing a duplicate of the "Amazon Lady" I went with something different.

66" 54@28  Brown glass front and back.

Cocobolo riser encased in blonde bamboo with a black leather wrap.

limbs are amber bamboo with a pinstripe of blonde bamboo.

With Wenge fadeouts between the lams.

I'll post pictures and share my 1st impressions as soon as it arrives.

God bless,Mudd

My-O-My.....I've never known a lady that didn't change her mind. So, Roy my friend, what brought this about?

Danny, I wanted to make sure I wouldn't confuse the two bows....lol

Mr Berry being an artist I thought it might be wiser to allow for something different.

I am betting that it's a beauty in it's own right.

Good news Mudd!!!!!   I know you "sampled" James Morningstar before, but wait till you get this one and really get to know it. There is something special about James reverse handle and the first impression is WOW, but the more you shoot it the more his design grows on ya.
I never thought my Vixen would take 2nd string but the Mornigstar is just flat out impressive in its draw and gentleness at release AND I don't know how James does it but the performance of the Morningstar will rival any mild d/r of similar poundage.

I'm excited to see pics!!!

Roy -
Good for you my friend. I've always admired Mr. B's craftsmanship, but have never shot one of his bows. I may have to look into one for myself. Maybe it could be a Christmas present from me to me.    :saywhat:

Mudd,

I have a Vixen coming in three months.  I am very interested to know your impression of the MorningStar, and how it compares.

My pal BHall, on this site, has been shooting a MorningStar, and the more he shoots it, the more he likes it.

Mudd

Danny I think you should call the man..if you have an extra 30 minutes...lol

Mr Berry was nice enough to send me his personal Vixen... I was so impressed I ordered one.

Then after he and I talked he sent me his personal Morning start.. again I was so impressed I ordered one.

I was bless to have the opportunity to try out his newest design, the "Northstar"> I truly did not expect much out of it...I mean this particular bow was only 62" and 42@28.

I was totally blown away!!

Here was my immediate response :http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=129973#000000

I asked Mr Berry if he would consider making one at 66" and 52-54@28 so I could really compare not just apples to apples but Fuji's to Fuji's.

I am pretty sure that's gonna happen.. I don't think I can stand the excitement...lol

Moots i have both i would say the vixen is slightly smoother and a bit less handshock. i would say the morningstar is a bit faster and a bit more forgiving . the morningstar has mild handshock the vixen has almost none .

Tajue17

good news for me I think my Morning star is being made right behind yours,, yeah please post pics.

Mr Berry says it'll be going out in today's mail so it will be here before next Wednesday.

Ha ha.... good for you!  I don't feel so bad about my "addiction" to the Berry Bow habit!  Mr. Mudd and Brian are clearly are afflicted and several others right behind them!

Enjoy the Morning Star and I look forward to the pics!

Sounds like a nice one, Mudd! Can't wait for your review.

I'd sure like to try a reverse handle bow, and having some string follow sounds intriguing.

The Dave Johnson I just bought has satisfied that itch. Just need to figure out how to get the money for a Morning Star! How long is it before  Christmas? I'm sure the family would come through for me!

That's a breakfast porker!!... and I bet it's tender and tasty as well.

Congratulations Mike!
