Kinda hard to tell in the pic. Do you just back off the little thumbscrews until the quiver slides out?

Quarter turn and it slides right out, nothing to it. Great quivers.

Top and bottom? They are pricey, but I hate carrying a quiver, and I hate one on the bow when hunting.

Does the gripper work on 5/16 carbon?

There are 3 different gripper sizes. 5/16 carbons are the same as 2016 aluminum and those fit in the medium gripper.

Excellent quiver. I have two in the extreme kickback version.

Bisch turned me on to it. I still leave mine on when I hunt cause I have pretty much always hunted with a quiver. But it is great on my take down Puma

I use mine exactly this way when I deer or hog hunt. If you ever have to shoot with it attached it is great as well. You will not regret purchasing a Great Northern Quiver. I have had mine for around 15 years or so. One of the few things I have ever purchased that was what it claimed to be in every way.

Thanks guys. It's pricey, but it might be my best option. I hate having a quiver on in the tree, but I prefer the convienence of a bow quiver to tote my arrows in.

A properly sized and mounted bow quiver can actually help your shooting.
Most guys won't give them the time it takes to get used to shooting with them on their bow. Always in a big hurry to change things that don't feel normal.
NOthing feels normal until you give it enough of a chance to feel normal.

I almost never take my quiver off....now when I do, the bow feels awkward.

Thanks for the reply Big Jim. I was really leaning towards one of your quivers but I am concerned that I do not have enough time to get used to it on the bow before the October opener.

awesome quiver,, I unscrew the top and slide it out and then let the whole quiver spin so the quiver is hanging upside down then I grab the bottom bar, loosen that screw and slide the bottom bar out,,,, I found this way insures there will be no little bumps against the limbs and its noiseless.

Check out the "kick back" version, I like mine. I have a buddy that bought one of Big Jim's and loves it.

I have a GN on my recurve and agree with big Jim it actually helps my shooting I think its a weight thing. When I get my big Jim longbow. I will more than likely be sporting a big Jim quiver. I like my GN. But I do not like the position of the metal rods that run down the side it does get in the way of getting the back two arrows in and out.
