Very nice. This thread was great last year...appreciate the time and effort you spend to let us tag along. Now concentrate on your elk! Nine years is along time to wait for a tag. Hope it is worth it and you have a grand adventure

This is good. I'll be following it too. I can appreciate your hard work. I've been working on my little bowhunting farm most of the Summer. I'm semi-retired. It gives me time to share with my grandson, so i love it. It also teaches him that hunting has a little work involved behind the scenes if it's your own land.
Did you build the yurt? It really looks familiar as I had a buddy who built one almost identical. Same green material and the windows and rafters and cable system is the same. He built his own lattice wall too as you probably did. He lived in it year round for 7 years till he took a diff job and moved. I'm pretty sure he sold the yurt to a fellow in CO. They are pretty neat. My son built one too. His is a slightly diff design and canvas material.
Thanks for the blog.

Jim,
I didn't get but 6 hours in two sittings  hunting last year but  did manage to take    a little 7  point  on the ground and got some food in our freezer but with 3 girls I was blessed to  even hunt those 6 hours...While I was home I was able to see your daily     Journal of you and what was happening each day and I actually   felt as if I was there hunting as well and enjoyed the time you took to show us what stand and what took place each day if it was good or   bad but then again there is really never a bad day in the outdoors is it?
Please keep up the daily journal and I for one appreciate you taking us along......God Bless,
            Keefers <><
