I recently moved to Chester County and am looking for some land to hunt.  I scouted SGL 43 and saw some potential but I am concerned that it may get crowded.  Does anyone have any insight on the area?

Also, is anyone looking for a hunting partner?

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

Look up White Clay Creek Preserve. You will find good bow hunting there.

I am in West Chester.  I just scouted Marsh Creek State Park.  I hear that it is stocked with pheasants, which could be fun, but it gets hunted pretty hard.

West Chester here as well. I never been up to Marsh Creek State Park. I hear the same about it being hunted hard though. White Clay is not that far from us and there's a good deer population there. It's near the little town of Landenburg, PA.. It is right on the Delaware State line. A lot of hunters avoid hunting close to the state line because they fear they will mistakenly cross the state line into Delaware. It is really good hunting on that line due to the lack of hunting pressure. Just have to know where the state line is!!    ;)  Its also archery only and muzzle loader during the season.

Anyone else going pheasant hunting tomorrow?  If so, good luck and maybe I'll see you out there!

When I lived down there 15-20 years ago, I hunted a SGL west of Pottstown, out rt 23 I think, near French Creek. Never got too crowded at least during archery and small game season.
We are all here because we are not all there.
