Has anyone heard anything about a new WR being harvested in Iowa?  I received an email about it, but I couldn't see the attached picture.  According to what I read the buck grossed 235 points and change and netted 223 points and change.  Anyone heard about the deer other than me?

Wildman,
sent you an email.

Only stats I got with the pictures were:
Buck grossed 235 and netted 223 typical, taken in Sperry, Iowa. The buck he is next to on the truck (second picture), scores 201.

Tim,

Thanks!  I'll check the email when I get home tonight.

The bucks in that area obviously have a good supply of Levi 501s, genes that is!     ;)    :D    :biglaugh:

EDIT: Oops sorry.  That was the 215" LA buck.

The Iowa buck is a blackpowder kill. To quote ESPN:
QuoteThe mammoth non-typical buck, which has been initially green scored at 322 4/8 inches net, fell to the muzzleloader blast of 15-year-old Tony Lovstuen of Albia, Iowa, on Sept. 29 in Monroe County.

Boys those were penraised deer that you're talking about.  They've been around the boards and back again.  If you look at the picture you can see the name of the ranch "Timberghost Ranch".  Would like to see them in the wild though.  Unfortunately, these were pets.  Here's a link.

Since they aren't trad kills and are farm deer. I'm closing this but leaving it on the forum so another one doesn't get started about them.
