Good luck on your trip, sir. I was fortunate to hunt Maine (Allagash Wilderness Haymock Lake) back in the mid '80's. Got in just before they started developing the area with lodges and such. Back then is was a dirt road ride for more almost 3 hours after you left the last town behind. Camping right on the lake was primitive, nothing but us and nature and a handful of others in the little "campground" that sported a little outhouse for amenities. Almost froze, was used to 80 degree days when I left home and got there and it was 17 and snowing. Planned on going back until I heard they developed it. Glad I got to experience it 'in the rough'.

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
