good luck...Colorado is my home state...Park county area...they should start bugling in a few weeks...

bring some pillow cases...and take care...there are few places more fun to be in than Co in the beginning of Fall...the biggest thing most deal with is the elevation change...

drink more water than you think...and have some advils with you...if not for you ,a bud...and dont talk and walk until you figure it out...LOL...

@ 8500 feet the oxygen is 20-25% less than sea level...

the stars at night are unreal!

getting the last bit of my gear in order, a local back packing store gave me %10 all Mountain House meals!!! 10 of the 2 servings dinners for $6 which is an awesome deal!
I go by many names but Daddy is my favorite!

That's a heck of a deal!,  I was able to find a big variety bucket of Mountain House meals on Amazon for a decent price, but nothing like that - good score!

I'm heading for Colorado elk hunt tomorrow morning @ 5 a.m. Been putting together my "stuff" for the trip for several days. Taking two takedown recurves, a tube full of arrows and a box of broadheads. Two video cameras and a digital pocket-size still camera. Pretty exciting!
