Today I received a soft back quiver from Howard Hill Archery.  Great quiver!  However, for me, the strap was way too short.  It measures 30" end to end when removed.  Called Jason and he immediately offered to send a longer strap.  Awesome service!

Has anyone else had issues with a strap on a back quiver being too short?  I'm 6'1" 220# but thick through the shoulders/chest.  I've tried 3 different back quivers from two makers and all the straps were too short.  With the straps at their longest setting, and wearing only a t-shirt, the strap is tight against my neck and barely below my armpit.

Any bigger guys that use back quivers want to share their strap lengths?  And did you have to make a longer/custom strap?

Thanks!

Andrew - Here's how Bud B. does his straps.  If you've got some strips around you can make yours serviceable until your replacement arrives.

Can you post a pic of how the HH quiver strap is attached at the bottom??

The pic above of Rob's is a design idea David Mitchell passed along to me.

Latigo lacing works really well to tweak the fit of a back quiver. Check out the photos of Howard. His strap usually stops 8" to 10" from the bottom of the quiver. Then the lacing takes over. Make it easy to move the quiver around.

Well I am officially an idiot   :knothead:  .  After looking at the HH bow and back quiver thread and the pics there, and Green and Ric's input, I realize my mistake.

I was trying to mount the bottom of the leather strap to the bottom of the quiver, rather than using the ample amount of lacing that was down there to "extend" the strap.

I emailed Jason and let him know I won't be needing a new strap...just a swift kick in the head.

Thanks Guys!
