With only a few weeks before squirrel season opening up I thought Id throw out the invite to post picks of small game.
Harvests, tips and favorite heads.

I am primarily a small game hunter.  My favorite heads for small game are the RFA Talons.  They are tough as nails, the tips are sharp enough to prevent glancing and the cup makes for a ton of blunt force trauma.  The pyramidal shape keeps them from sticking too bad into trees and stumps.  They are phenominal.

Another favorite is a Judo point for areas where I'm concerned I might loose an arrow.  I typically carry either 2 Judo and 2 Talon tipped arrows or 2 Judo and 3 Talon arrows for small game hunting.

The Judo doesn't work as well on game than the Talon but really helps with arrow recovery.  I actually like the Talons for small game hunting and Judo points for stumping so much that I specifically build all of my arrows to take 125gr screw in points just so I can use them.  Because I wanted more weight for hogs and deer, I now build them up with footings and 100gr inserts, but I wont consider any other point weight.

1pc and 2pc Sarrels Sierra Mountain Longbows - both 53.5lbs @ 29"

Indiana squirrel season started today. Never got a shot at a squirrel, but I shot a lot of stumps.

Love the small game threads! Our squirrel season opens the 24th same day as early deer season. Gonna be a great weekend come next week!    :bigsmyl:
