Any of you guys have any pictures of successful hunting using aluminum arrows. If so post a pic and the info of gear used. It's much appreciated.  :clapper:

No pictures, but I have used a lot of aluminum arrows to kill deer all through the 1980s.  Mostly out of a #50 Bear Grizzly.  I tried wood, but went to carbons in the mid 1990s and never looked back.

My wife still shoots 1916s out of her Bear Polar and she is deadly with it.  Nothing at all wrong with aluminum arrows!

i've taken 12 elk and about 40 deer with aluminum shafts. easton xx75's and the xx78's.... i've taken a russian boar too.... no pics though

I just purchased some arrows from 3Rivers. My classic longbow with a Flemish string is 58 at 28. I draw 27ish, so I'm about 55 or so. I ordered Easton Legacy 2016 cut to 28.5 with 3, 5" LW. Stu's spine calculator says I'm golden with 200 grains out front. Am I in the ballpark? My total arrow weight is around 525. Thanks!

I've used  aluminum in the past but mosly wooden arrows. A friend at work said he had gotten a bunch of aluminum that he believed miight be for arrows. Sure enough they were Easton  2013 and  1816 shafts. All were silver no coating, he gave me 40 shafts and said he still aleast that many if not more to give me. One  bundle had a an Easton invoice dated 7/13/1967 on it, heck I was only 12 years old then. Started building a dozen today hopfully I'll have some pics to share

I still shoot aluminum and don't plan to stop now.  Besides, I have a lifetime supply of 2114s and Wensel Woodsmans.  This year I'm going to load up my last dozen of RJ swaged 2114s in Autumn Orange.  I pull in the low 50s nowadays and rarely does one of the 2114s stay in an animal.  A couple hogs and deer with 2114s.

Liquid Amber-It is refreshing to actually see someone smile with their game. Thanks for the great pics.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

If it's in your way, move it.

I can't even count how much stuff died to an aluminum arrow from my bow. Lots of different set ups as well. Here is one pic.
