that's cool. a friend and i used a bike and a homemade bike trailer on some WMA land that restricted motor vehicle access. made it much easier to get back there where the pigs were.

Added info/pix from Jn71 is how I carry my bow & quiver on my bike., Standing upright, they have not yet been a problem through the woods snagging bushes & trees like they would if carried horizontally. I use soft panniers & tie my HH Bq & strung 70" ntn lb to the seatpost. Additionally, I often drag my deer dolly loaded with climber & other items. Toting vs Loaded bike...no contest!

I like a bigger seat than that. I want one with a tractor seat. Then they need to make it so the seat comes off fast and is replaced by a big collapsible rack. Then you could load the meat on and walk the bike out. Gary

awesome! much of my hunting is done from mnt bike. near my family hunting shack in northern WI there are huge tracts of public property that the DNR has blocked trails and made them foot or bike travel only...so much untouched land cuz most locals dont go deep. that bike is sweet!

Interesting I just saw the quiet kat for the first time today too....that was pricey but a cool alternative to an atv

I live in Colorado and have been a road biker for years.  I also do some mountain biking.  These ultra-fat tires are all the rage now, and a lot of bicycle manufactures are building these bikes.

I like the bikes on the various sites but why do they make the seats so narrow?  That is masochism big time.   The big tires are just the ticket for off road biking.

I bought a Mongoose mountain bike last year and love it. I put some grippers like guys use on 4 wheelers to hold my bow and other stuff on my way to my stands. It has really changed the way I hunt as sometimes after work I would sit stands that were quick to walk to 5-10 minutes tops. Now I can hunt stands that are normally 20 minutes or more walking and still be to them in 10 miuntes or less in a lot of cases. Pretty Cool! Shawn

I've been thinking about a bike for these WMA's down here in Texas.  Some of them can get quite HUGE like Sam Houston at over 100,000 acres.

I've owned Mountain bikes nearly my whole adult life because I have a good friend that owns a bike shop back in my hometown.

That bike looks pretty good, but it might be kinda rough riding without a front or rear shock.  That stuff adds weight though.  I also didn't see a front derailleur, which means you might be in trouble if you come upon some hills in your hunting trek.

I think you could pick up a bike from a shop or even Sports Authority or something similar and rig it out very close to that one without too much trouble at all.

The only thing that would concern me is that how would you secure it in the woods when you got to your spot?  Naturally you aren't going to get off your bike and hunt 50 feet away, you're gonna park it and then walk off into the woods.  That would suck to ride a few miles back into the stuff and then come back to your bike and find it's gone.  I guess I good bike chain would do the trick though.  I just hate to carry too much gear but you can't trust leaving something like that unattached.
