I always recommend a 2 blade for pigs. STOS or Grizzly work very well.

I have been a 3 blade cut on contact guy for many years. In fact i have never shot a 2 blade head. Nothing wrong with them i just have always liked the hole a 3 blade makes. I have taken many hogs in thirty some odd years of chaseing them and have only lost two in my life. Right now i like and use the Razorcap.
With that said there is nothing wrong with good strong 2 blade heads.

RC, are you using the interceptors or the tree sharks?  In a couple of your pig pics the broadheads look really big.  I have been thinking of trying some Interceptors with adapters for a finished weight of around 200 grains.

Mark, I know a lot of folks swear by the treesharks and I`ve killed a few with them but since dropping down to 53 lbs I prefer smaller.Interceptors or magI.RC

The twp heads I have seen drop a hog the fastest are Wensel Woodsmans and Snuffers. Kill them graveyard dead in a New York Minute, if you put then in the right place low and tight to the shoulder. Remember you want you arrow to hit in the lower third of a pigs chest.

Another vote for two blade, cut on contact.  Bonus points if it's glass or stone.  GGG

200gr. Ace heads 28 1/2" 350gr.cedar  57#  Mantis longbow. It's a little slower because of the wieght but it gets 'er done.

I am a fan of the ECLIPSE broadhead. Tough to get sharp but a good tough 2-blade. There are a lot of good 2-blades--most of them would get my vote.

I tend toward 3 blade with pigs.  With the extra fat and shield, a little wider hole seems to help.  With a wheelie bow and a 2 blade I nailed a nice boar several years ago.  Within the first 10-15 yards there were the most amazing sprays of blood off to its right I've seen on any game I've killed with any weapon - I mean 2-3 feet wide.  Then it stopped.  I tracked that boar for over 400 yards (laser range finder measured) mostly by where it rubbed against grass and left a little blood.  Only ever found 3 additional drops of blood in the dirt.  I lost the trail with it hit a saltwater marsh.  I figure the skin slid in relation to the shield and/or fat and closed the slit from the two blade hole.  I'm amazed to this day and favor 3 blades for pigs for that reason.  The shot was 17 yards, right behind the shoulder quartering away.  Seems to have hit the off leg and didn't get a pass through.

This past year, I hit a pig a little far back with a Snuffer from my recurve and was able to keep on the trail of that gut shot pig.  For pigs more of a hole that a slice gets my vote.  JMHO.  Steve
