Ahhh, to finally have my hands around a Howard Hill again! Here is a fine specimen of a Hill bow. 69", 52# @ 29" (49# @ 28"). Two lams bamboo sandwiched between one belly lam of Juniper and one back lam of Yew with a (I think) Bacote riser. Grip is tan elk.

Thanks for all the great comments folks! I will be keeping this one for as long as I can shoot it. If shoulder acts up again, I can probably have it reduced some so, hoping to have it around for a long while.

Could use some arrow help if anyone wants to chime in. I'm pulling the bow to 27 1/4", making it about 46#. Want to shoot a B50 dacron string so, what spine would ya'll suggest and length of shaft? Can I get away with a 5/16 shaft?

Wanna,
You need to saddle up and bring that bow over to Bend where I can give it the attention it deserves.
Try some GT 35/55 with 200 up front or some 1916 with the same point cut 29 BOP to start.
I have arrows waiting.

Sam McMichael

That is truly a beautiful bow. Congratulations!
