I have never scouted out a new area for hunting, how do I find out where the deer are?, what certain things should I look for?, I plan on using a ground blind

Bedding areas....travel routes, food sources. Trails to and from. Then try to figure out when they eat, move and bed down. Also keep an eye out for natural funnels....around a pond, along a hedgerow....etc etc. Good luck.

what will a bedding area look like?

A daytime bedding area will be thick and out of the wind. Deer like cedar thickets. Rest assured, you'll have to make some noise to get close to them when they're bedded down, and they'll have several escape routes.

I like the lazy man's way...Trail Camera.  I got one of those $79 specials and ended up with 76 pics in a couple weeks from one spot.  I found out they only were there the first two hours of daylight and only does/fawns.
