So I'm pretty well done buying longbows, cept for maybe a Whip for myself after buying one for my brother.

Still searching for 'the' recurve to love...well I up and bought a brand new Robertson Fatal Styk, 62" 50@28 (prolly 53-55 at my draw) cocobolo and juniper.  I did this because A.  I need to start buying some new stuff and stop buying other people's bows and B. my good buddy on TG 'JeffG' has one and can't stop gushing about how great it shoots and what a nice grip it has.  I've been eyeing Robertsons for a good while now.  They have a timeless shape to them, and the wood selections from Dick are always extraordinary.

So who else has one and tell me how you love it?

Pics of mine later this week when it arrives from Montana.

I've got one, picked it up in the classifieds.  Mine is 60", 45#@28", cocobolo riser and juniper limb veneers.  Like you said, very nice grip, pretty wood, nice fit and finish...what's not to like?

Great shooting bow...   :archer2:

Lamey

Yep I love mine in every way, great grip, quiet, fast, forgiving... and great folks to work with.

Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm
not sure that what you heard is what I actually meant!

yeah the finish is a flat finish but still shows the wood detail/figure very well.

I bought mine from the classifieds about 6 months old...I was shooting it this morning and thinking about how many arrows have already crossed the shelf...it is the 60 inch Z version, 54 pounds marked and 60 at my draw length...I wanted a bow from Montana and really did not know much about it...it is my number two bow to my RER LXR which is pretty good company as you know...the materials are cocobolo/myrtle riser and very interesting myrtle veneers...it shoots so well for me I tend to forget how great it looks...just for fun count the number of bamboo core lams...you might be surprised
I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

I went with the one piece tribal styk.  Sweet shooting bow.  It's a keeper for sure.

60" 54lb at 28" with checkered grip. One of the best ,(if not the best Recurve I have ever had). Enjoy!!

mines 60" 51#,  cant say enough about them.... would love to have a TribalStyk 1 piece.

Whip

My Fatal Styk has been one of the best bows I have ever owned.  Sadly, it is wrapped up in a box right now waiting to be dropped off at the post office.

Yep, I sold it.  I just bought a brand new RER a couple of weeks ago.  Two days later I found out that I drew a great elk tag in Utah.  I would have taken a big hit selling the new one, so the Robertson was the most likely candidate to bring what I needed.

I'm going to miss this one.  And someday I am sure I will have another back in the stable.

Cool guys, keep it comin.  I'm feeling great about this purchase and can't wait to feel the grip and shoot her.  Cacciatore I saw a couple older posts where you and whip and a few others sung the high praises for Robertson.  Good stuff, seems like I made a great choice in a recurve.
