For many, achieving such accuracy and consistency  out of a 54"r is a statement in and of itself.

Well done Curt!

Kents bows really lend themselves to some fine shooting!

Great shooting Curt and Cade. I never really liked the looks of belly mounted limbs on a riser but that is one sexy looking bow. Great now ya got me thinking and I do not need another bow, LOL.

I too have been wanting to try a belly mount, and this one is very appealing. Curt, how heavy an arrow were you shooting at the muzzy? They seemed pretty fast and looked to hit hard.
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.

A lot more pix and video's in that thread....

Pheonix.....At my draw the bow was probably 53-#54 and I was shooting a 30" Beman Bowhunter .400 spine that weighed in right at 500 grains.....not light at all. This little bow is a shooter!!!

Great looking bow.  I too favor belly mounted limbs.  Higher brace height means less clearance problems when wearing heavy clothing like in a November treestand.  More mass weight in the riser for me always equals better shooting.  Even if you flinch it simply takes more effort to move it.  Way to go on the shoot Curt!

And a beauty it is! Got a chance to fondle it today. Like Curt says"if you want a short fast longbow, this is it"
Glenbo and Curt,
What if I'm not worried about "short"?  I'm very interested in a R/D longbow w/ reverse handle like this.  I currently shoot 60" and 62" R/D longbows.  Are there any "shortcomings" of this bow because it's made in shorter lengths?  Feel free to PM if you'd like.

Just sent in a deposit. Now I have to figure out what kind of woods.
I wonder how Snakewood and Osage or Maple would look?
This will be an exciting process.
Can't wait.

Your welcome Hubert

Hombru,  There is no shortcoming that I've experienced at all. This little longbow is everything you'd want in a bow, just shorter!
Smooth like a 62" bow, nothing felt at release, easy to shoot accurately, and speed!  Anything specific, just ask bud...if I can't answer, I'm sure Kent can...

Irv, that combo would be killer! Exciting process for sure, you'll be even more excited when you shoot it    :archer2:

How will one of these do with a 31" draw?  I've been following this thread with caution, but I'm feeling the urge for a new toy.
