Guys, just ordered one of these as it seems to offer more protection for me than my current glove. (A friend let me borrow his)
Anybody got any comments on this shooting glove? Thanks

Supple...yet protective...

I used one of these for several years before switching to a tab.  I tried many different types of gloves, and liked this one the best.  It offered sufficient protection for bows up to about 55#.  For bows heavier than that, I preferred the Big Shot buffalo leather glove.  I found that if I got a medium size Dura Glove that it was a bit tight at first, but then stretched into a perfect fit.  I don't like a glove that is a loose fit.  It's worth getting a good fit on these; if the first one you get is too tight or too loose, save it as a loaner or give it to someone with different sized hands, and get yourself one that fits right.

I am working with one now.  I take a large in some gloves and medium in others.  I started off in a large and was swimming in it.  I got the medium, and it has been a pain to try and get stretched out.  It was a battle just to get my fingers in it.  Cut of my circulation in my fingers after a while the first couple weeks.  I wish the sizes were not so drastically different. I am slowly getting if starting to fit a little better.  Should be a good glove someday.

I find the protective layer to  be too short on the middle and index finger.  I am off it with a deep hook on the index and right on the stitching with the middle.  The large had a lot longer protective layers.  

I like the idea of the glove construction.  Just right to me for protection with nice release qualities.

I like mine, fit seems true to size and I get a nice release. I like to wear a thin liner under it for hunting and an XL was still a little long in the tips for my liking.

Like mentioned, the difference between sizes is huge. I have some meat-hook hands and a broken in L is just right.

I need a back-up now that I think about it...

Todd's comments remind me of why I eventually switched to a tab.  Just trim it yourself a little bit at a time until it fits.

I've had some tingling in my fingers lately when I do my pull and hold for 20 seconds exercises. I'm currently shooting an October mountain glove, which is very comparible to a Damascus  as far as feel. I ordered a Fred Eichler 3 under tab to remedy the problem, but just don't like a tab at all. Plus, my nose is bleeding.
All I am looking for is a glove that has good protection and keeps me from the tingling feeling. If I have to go to another thicker glove, I will. But I thought I would try this first.
I just prefer a glove, as I guess I'm in the minority on this.

Anyway, thanks for your replies. I wanted to get some feedback on this and get a feel for what I am up against.

I like Dura-gloves, probably my favorite of any except a good Damascus glove.  Damascus is only good up to about 50# for me though, over that it's the Dura-glove.

I love my dura glove, I've used the same glove for close to 2 yrs and shows very little wear. I also seem to get a fairly smooth release even when it's wet.

Fantastic glove I own two (only because I let a buddy borrow one) one I've owned for a couple of years and its in just as good of shape as the new one.

Give that tab some time.  You will stop hitting your face.  I have had the same issue switching back and forth.

I shoot the split Eichler as my tab of choice.  I shot it split and 3 under, but really want to try the Eichler 3 under tab.  What size is that tab you don't like?   :D  

The Dura glove will give you a bit more protection than the Eichler tab.

I shoot the Dura-glove. I love them most all of my bows are 60lbs. plenty of protection for me...but I have finally worn another one out. I had 2 still in the bag unopened so I got one and opened it up and tried it on, holy crap this is not the same glove I am used too the glove that is worn out is about 3yrs old. Knowing that I like the gloves I bought 2 more and stored them. Now that I have opened one up to use I found the glove to be quite different. I use the med glove also, man I could not get it stretched over my fingers, so I soaked it in water for a few minutes and them managed to get it on I have been using it off and on trying to get it broke in. My opinion on the newer gloves is they are not the same. Awhile back when 3 R archery was not selling them for a while I called and was told they had to find another manufacturer. I sure wish they were made exactly like before, as stated above the finger reinforcements are shorter. I just don't know if I like the newer Dura-glove like I use too.

I've had similar fit problems with mine, switched to a medium, once it got stretched out it fits great.  Been using it for almost three years now, with no complaints.

Its a good glove last a long time super tough

I've been using Duragloves since they came out. Really like them.

I do wear mine out from my brass nock. A lighter flame melts the frays and keeps things in check. By the time I get a hole the glove is due to be changed anyway.

I just got mine a few weeks ago and I love it so far.  I like to feel the string and it gives me that with it hurting my fingers.

I bought one and ending up trading it in just a couple days. The finger stalls were too short, and the string was either right at the seam, or falling behind it during draw.

I tried them but couldn't get one to fit  correctly.The first one I bought was supposed to be a large, I could barely force my fingers into it. It was so tight I could feel my pulse in my fingers-I shot it awhile but it didn't stretch out.I then bought a x-large. The fingers fit better but it was too long across the palm & would bunch up. I gave both away & went back to a Bearpaw brand leather glove.

Brass nocks are hard on gloves and tabs, have you though about going to a pair of tied on nocking points?

The recent threads on the fit of the new Dura-Gloves are disappointing, I saw a couple similar reports a few months back.  I'm getting ready to order another one, hope the   new large size fits as well and is as well made as my old glove.

My first Duraglove was great my second one I tried to buy this year was crap ordered a different size still crap finally got a credit from 3-rivers but cost me a bunch of shipping cost and found a glove someware else.Kip
