Mr.Vic

Howdy my friends. It took us a few years but Greywolf and i found our little piece of heaven thanks to my uncle and with alot of hard work clearing the land, building an sacrifices were making our dream happen. Many thanks to the encouragement from alot of you years ago. This place is full of the natural world. We have made four brush piles for rabbits from the debris and the place is filling in with bunnies. We made a main deer trail with a brush cutter through our property and with a little fence maneuvering and with a winter feed station to attract them, we now have a nice herd of deer using the property. Even though my uncle has two small ponds on the place we installed a small pond in the front yard for the animals to drink out of while we sit at the window in the evening. This is a group of Does that visit us and i ranged them at 35 yards from my couch. We also have a very nice buck hanging around but he never comes out in the light, but we watch him in the yard light at night. He has came within 10 yards of our picket fenced in flower garden at the front door.At the rear of the property we are presently building a blind were the major trail that runs the creek out front of the cabin.I am so blessed to still be alive as i have had to be brought back to life twice, but the dream is worth the hard work and again i have alot of you to thank for encouraging us.

Mr.Vic

Good to be back on and reading the posts and start learning more. Doc Noc was a little scary, but i have made my peace and take what happens with a smile. Mudd wish we did have hogs up here, maybe be a little more places that would open up to hunt. Lefty that would be awesome, i know the one at Lake Sugema years ago is still fresh in my memories. I keep building brush piles out here so the coyotes don't get em. Be plenty out here soon. and thanks for the welcome back friends..

Mr.Vic

Lefty thanks for the picture!! I copied it. That day was one to remember for sure. No bunnies were harmed but memories made with fellow Tradgangers. Phrogdrvr yes indeed. It is right in front of me standing next to ceremonial sage of my wifes.Funny thing about that. The day after it arrived my wife and i rescued a Redtail hawk hit by a car south of here. We brought it home and cleaned it up, and called a rescue place. That Hawk sat on my wife's lap the whole time until we handed it over to the professionals. Than it wasn't so nice. We found out it didn't survive. Some people would say that's a good thing. But my wife is Native and it broke her heart. Stickhorse i have pictures of that hunt were i can see them everyday. Dad still talks about it and asks about if i ever got a hold of you. Wish i would have been in better shape to go to the top of your mountain to the honey hole, but i had the time of my life on your place. Again Thank you for making my dads dream come true of Elk hunting with his boys. Everyone else thank you and hope to post some wildlife pics and stories from our little Sacred Acres out here in the cornfields.
