I haven't seen anyone mention Dick Boss on these forums yet, so here it is!

Red Dymonwood riser, bamboo limbs with red carbon core. 51# at 28".

Made by a little known bowyer by the name of Dick Boss in Colorado.  I have shot several bows since I started archery and Mr. Boss's bows are the smoothest I have ever had the pleasure to shoot, and it's not a sluggish bow either.

The pictures are from a cell phone and, well, the phone is a better phone than a camera.

I had a Boss 1 piece slight RD longbow that shot very well.

That definitely is a sweet looking bow! Congrats on it and hope it does you well. Is there a website for this Dick Boss?

Tnaks for the compliments--I will pass them onto the bowyer.

Mr. Boss does not have a website.

Beautiful bow. Dick Boss is known by word of mouth and most of his business, if not all is by that.

I had a one piece with Musk Ox tips and skins. It was one of the nicest shooting bows I have had. I sold it had buyers remorse and bought it back when it came back up. I had it for a while and I shoot heavier  bows than that, so I sold it again. If it ever comes back up, too light or not, I buying it back and keeping it.

You rarely ever see them come up for sale.

Gil

PS - if anyone that reads this has it and wants to sell it PM me.

Nice looking bow! If I am not mistaken Mr. Boss taught Dale Karch quite a bit about making his longbows and recurves, and I believe he had some input on the design of the Tomahawk Legacy series. Knowing how well the tomahawks shoot I bet that bow shoots just as good as it looks!

Nice bow. My first custom bow was a Dick Boss. That was about 18yrs. ago. It was a one piece. Very nice bow. I spent the day at Dick's house shooting bows and picking out woods.

I'm not typically a 3pc fan, but that bow looks amazing!!!

Great looking 3pc and I'm like Brian.  No disrespect to Mr. Boss whatsoever, but I see Meland Pronghorn and Toelke Lynx lines in this bow.  Would love to see his 1pc.
