Title says it all. Looking for opinions from my fellow monkey armed archers.   :campfire:             :archer:

I am drawing 30" and shoot a 54" classic hunter and absolutely love it! No stacking shoots where I look and rockets an arrow! Also really no finger pinch to speak of either. Awesome bow !!!

You mean they make a bow for people with draws over 30"?  How far can it handle?

Anointed Archer

Well I have owned a couple 54"Classic Hunters and I have a 31" draw and I am here to tell I am not sure these bows even know what stack or finger pinch is. These bows are the smoothest shooting bows I have ever owned.
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.

I hope. I've tried a lot of shorter LB's but not a shrew, yet.

After the shrew you may not want to try another one

Wasn't happy with the others I've tried. Research says the Shrew is different. What makes it different?

You can draw them a long way, but I guess I am more sensitive to finger pinch than others, because at 29" on a 56" CH I could feel it closing in on my fingers.  Still real shootable, but I don't own it any more if that tells you anything.  Still kicking myself for not getting a 60" SS.

I draw 31.5" and own 2 Shew Classics, a 56" and a 58". Both handle my draw length well and are a joy to shoot. I may slightly prefer the 58".

Real Buckmaster

I have a short draw 26"  I prefer my 58" super shrew carbon over the classic hunter and I definetly shoot better with it.

Just traded away my 56".  My draws right about 29.5.  Didnt stack but you could tell it was a short bow building 55# in a short distance.  I think they're great bows, but not really the 'long draw' short bow novocaine shot everyone is making them out to be.  My other bows are 62-70" and I still think longer is better.  I'd love to try a 58-60" Shrew someday to compare.  For me the 56" CH wasn't much good past 20yd, just wasn't meant to be I guess.  I found to be real accurate with it I had to almost snap shoot it..mostly just to keep it from moving around vs a longer bow.  Great looking bow (Greg Coffey is the man!) and very cool for what it is.  Short bows have a purpose IMHO:  Good for the thick stuff.  I just don't think you'll have many guys doing real world 25yd+ super accurate shooting with them..UNLESS they are above average in ability (like RON? LOL)  For the swamps at 15 yd or less, I'm happy with my 54" Bob Lee takedown due to the increased mass weight over the Shrew and the recurve limbs that open a little more...and at least I still have a Shrew Hill   :)
