Gold tip 5575 knocks

I have some newer carbons that I have made up. These are the first set of carbons I have ever shot. That being said I was shooting and one of the knocks twisted in my hand while I was inspecting it. I gave it a tug and it came out with ease. Are knock in carbon arrows suppose to do this or do I have to glue them in?? Are all the carbon arrows like this? I ordered these full length with knock on already.

I shoot GT and I swap the factory nocks out for Easton Super nocks. They seem to be tougher and have a snugger fit to me.

Just inspect the shaft at the nock end to make sure there are no cracks. Try another nock to see if that makes a difference.

Mine will twist or pull out with a little bit of effort. It's never been a problem.

A small dab of super glue will cure it if it bothers you.

I have been shooting GT arrows for years. I use GT nocks and have never had any problems with them. Yes, they can by moved or removed by twisting them. That is a plus to me. as I can move my nock on each arrow to orient the fletching or broadhead just the way I want it. Also being able to remove them easily makes for easy replacement of a damaged nock.

If they are too loose put a piece of saran wrap over the nock before pushing it in.

I shoot GT's as well and have never had any problems. It is strange that it would just come out. Mine move but with a little effort. They are great arrows. I like the fact that they move as well because so I can orient the fletchings and so that if a nock is ever damaged and the shaft is still in working condition, it is easily replaced.

I only asked because I am used to alums where you just glue the knock on and you are set. My knocks are staying in the shaft when shooting I was just worried that whey were not suppose to move.

I haven't had any issues with GT nocks and you can twist them but should stay put for the most part while shooting. I would NOT glue them in. If they break they will be a pain to remove from the shaft.
The white GT nocks seem more durable and have held up better than the colored ones for me.

some batches are more loose than others - try another batch if you don't like them - I like the GT nock

Mine move and come out easily as well, always have. I swap them out with the Easton super nocks as well. The Eastons don't have that abrupt click on the string like the GT's do.

I glue mine in with rubber cement. It keeps them from backing out and if they do break off in the shaft, I screw a wood or drywall screw in them and pull them out with pliers.

I like the fact that I can rotate the nock in the Gold Tip shafts. Saves feather wear on my target arrows.I do however change the nocks. I use to use Easton super uni nocks but I am now using Bohning nocks in my Gold Tips.

For loose nocks, the easiest thing to do is place a plastic bag, like the grocery store kind over the arrow and push the nock in and then tear off the bag and trim , makes a good tight fit, but you can still turn them and remove easy.

i use the GT nocks or if i want a different colour I buy bohinng signature nocks. they are just as good and cost 1/4

they are push in only ,no glue, work fine no need to change it
