He'll remember this his entire life, good on you!
Harvest or no harvest it will be an adventure, to be savored for years.

Best of luck.

BTW  love to see pictures, especially mountain scenery in the background for us flatlanders.

Thanks guys ,it should be real exciting for booth of us.He is a good shot and he got his first deer last year.I took him to south Carolina in may no shots on pigs but we did have a close encounter with a timber rattler that now resides in the man cave

birddogdoc

I love Colorado's north park.

Good luck!

Best of luck! Your son will have a great time I'm sure!

That's great!  My dad would take me out hunting a lot when I was young.  I'm sure it was much tougher to have me along with him. Now that he is in his 80s I get to take him hunting and can't wait to take him elk hunting again this year.

Bjorn

Wonderful! You are for a lifetime of enjoyment. Maybe a little map and compass is in order too? I love hunting with my son. He is 19 now and we are going elk hunting again this fall.

wigeon

Bjorn  the map and compass is a great idea.I think I will get him his own compass and a copy of my map and teach him how to use .It is much harder hunting with my son but it's well worth it.Last season when he got his deer I was more excited then him. After the shot he was shaking but I was shaking the whole tree. Thanks again for all the input,

My son and I hunted north park three years ago with Crossedarrows and crew. No elk killed but it was a great time with my son. Martin

I think I was there that year we hunted with crossed arrows two years in a row.First year I came out with my buddy, second year I brought my dad.

Good memories for your son and he will always cherish them. At that age kids remember those moments, smells and sounds. Lucky boy!
