BH weight?

This is just one rookie seeking advise. I was watching a video today and a guy was saying that in order for your BH's to group with your field tips, they need to be different weights. Ex. If your going to shoot 125gr BH, then you should practice with an 100gr field tip. His reasoning was when ever you add a BH to your arrow, it creates a longer arrow,causing your arrow to be softer(less spine).Therefore your BH should be heavier than your fieldtip in order to equal arrow flight. Has anyone else experimented with this? If so what was the outcome?

Correction :your BH should be lighter than your field tip.Ex. BH 100gr, fieldtip 125gr.
Now Im really confused.

If that were the case....you would be too close to borderline on your spine....

I use the same weight broadhead as field points and I bare shaft tune until I know I have the right weight field point. Once tuned I've never been able to not just swap the same weight broadhead for same weight field point and have good arrow flight.

I don't think I agree with the reasoning on the broadhead causing the arrow to act weaker. The overall length might be slightly increased, but the bending portion of the shaft is the same. There might be a slight (miniscule) increase in FOC but I don't think there's going to be a noticeable change in the dynamic spine of the arrow. If there is I've never noticed it.

I use 125 gr field points and 125 to 130 gr broadheads.

Even though 25 grains won't make a huge difference you should definitely use the same weight.

I like to use a BH within 5 grains of my field point.

Optimized flawless BH flight is the objective. There are many variables which contribute to achieving optimized flight. I attempt to keep the front load the same on my practice arrows as my hunting arrows.

Just personally and as I am currently setting up a new bow; I strive for great BH flight from 3 yards to 40 yards. Note: My effective hunting range is far inside my max tuning distance.
