Do tie your nock points in place or do you use a brass crimp on nock point?

I also use both but lean to the brass crimpons. I could never see the need for change.

I use a brass nock on top, and a tie-on for the bottom.

No luck keeping a tied on knocks in place. Use the smallest brass ones.

I use brass for tuning and getting things set up because they are easy to loosen and move around. And usually don't find a reason to change.

I have used both but prefer the tie on nocks. I shoot 3 under so I very seldom have a problem with them moving much. If you tie them right they will (serve) you well.   :)

I have always tied mine on. Don't like the brass ones at all. When I get a bow that has a brass one, the first thing I do is take it off and tie one on. After all these years I know where to put it without testing and just tie it on and go shoot

I like to use a brass nock when tuning but once I have my nock point set I always go to a tied on nock.

I followed Ryan's instructions for tying an adjustable nock.  I practiced a couple times with some paracord and then used some 0.021 serving material.  I used to use waxed floss, but could never get it to stay on... have had zero problems using Ryan's method.

I've been tying on my nocks since I started shooting traditional about 20 years ago.Just looks more traditional and no chance of the nock scratching my bow and no tools needed.I tie on two nocks.

All I use is brass nock points. I invested in a very good pair of nock pliers, years ago. I put my nock point where I want it & lightly crimp it on. Then I double check it with a bow square, and give it a final squeeze.

The pliers do bugger up the nock point some. To fix this, I take 2 small pieces of masking tape  wrap them around the serving, above & below the nock point. Then, I use an emery board to lightly sand the rough edges off of the nock point. Once I'm done, It never moves (unless I want it to) and it stays in place for the life of the string. (usualy several years)

Just one old woodchucker's thoughts.....
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

I do not use the brass nock at all because for some reason it really makes my finger nail so sore that i can not shoot for a few days. i do shoot split finger
