Hey guys I have asked several questions about wood and bamboo arrows. I am not trying to be irritating so if I am sorry. My 50# r/d hybrid currently shoots 29.5 inch 2117's with 150 grain head and 3x4" fletchings like darts. Any idea what that would equal in wood shaft spine ratings? I am currently flip flopping between fir or bamboo shafts. Stu miller shows my shafts to be own the stiff side but, the fly so nice even at close range I cannot argue. In order to get the the same dynamic spine rating his calculator says 70# + at 29.5 inches with 150 grain heads.

That sounds reasonable to me. I'd buy 70-75# shafts, leave them full length, and bare shaft tune tune from there. 160gr is a more common tip weight for woodies so I'd go with that.

Or get a test kit with like 60-65, 65-70, 70-75, 75-80 and see what works best. But again, bareshaft bareshaft bareshaft

Ben said it all. The upper end of that range should fly well out of your bow.
