What is the most common draw weight your customers request?  If you've been doing this for awhile, have you seen the average weight requested change over time?

Thanks

Two weights are very popular #35 for teens and some women and #45-50 for almost everybody else. I don't build heavier than #50 except "at request". Bob

Fifty seems most popular these days.  I remember years back if it were under sixty pounds it was thought to be to light.  Time change, I guess.

The majority of hunters are ordering upper 40's to mid 50's.... target shooters 45#  and women 30-35#'s

I've watched the draw weight requests drop over the years.  Used to make a lot of bows in the 60-70# range, even made a few in the 80's and 90's.   Now most are in the 50-60# range.

I'll sell 5 42#ers to 1 52#er.  Chad

Average is just under 50. Lot of orders of specific weights of around 47 to 49 lb.
i can remember when almost all bows were in this weight range and then guys started going for the heavy stuff. Now back down to weights that they can shoot a lot and really enjoy.;

God bless, Steve

Sounds like we're all giving the same answers.

Not a bowyer but I did stay at a holiday inn express.
I just never could shoot under 50# worth a darn.  Most guys I know shoot 45-55 lbs.  With the abundance of custom bowyers I am seeing guys order things at weights like 52# instead of the old five pound increments.
