With the anticipation of fall, which is slowly becoming a speck on the horizon.. so to speak, im ever so slowly starting to ease into getting this seasons arrows made, heads sharpened, gear gathered ETC.
Anybody else starting to...Ease into it?  

It seems that for me, the preparation never stops. As soon as the season ends, I am prepping and planning for next season. Even more so this year as I am heading to Colorado in September for Elk. Making new arrows, shooting and sharpening broadheads, shooting in extra strings. Trying to get my gear together in plenty of time, checking , double checking and wondering what I've forgotten. Been 10 yrs since I've taken a a big hunting trip and I am remembering that the prep is a big part of the journey! Mike

Always getting ready . I like to be able to pick up my bow and hunt right now and I can!!! If the rain stops around here soon I hope to go pig hunting.
 I have a new to me Shelton and we have made that first shot of the day on the money bond already. thats a good feeling.RC

O yea, been trying to shoot at least every other day since mid June. Might go check on some acorn trees with the binos in a week or two.

You are a better man than I. The only thing that ever changes for me is that for three quarters of the year I can't hunt deer. Even at that the rest of the time is spent hunting small game, turkeys,  practicing, preparing, studying, and watching as many videos as I can. I think I have a problem.

haha like others that have posted i too am constantly getting ready...shooting in strings, sharpening broadheads, and testing/pushing my gear and myself to see just how far i can go with it and how well it will perform...i am constantly fixing weak links in my gear just to try to control the controllables...although this year i may be forced to wait till spring season or just small game cause i recently moved and have to wait for my 6 mo residency to kick in...but other wise leaves me plenty of time to do my homework on the area(s) that i will be hunting next year or in the spring. but otherwise i can always find things to do when it comes to getting ready for hunting season whether it be prep work, shooting, sharpening or finding new hunting grounds.

I started shooting my hunting bow this weekend. Its a big jump from 45# 3d bow to my 63# hunting bow. Tuning arrows and getting gear ready for elk in september
