I was just down ther over Labor Day weekend guys. Been dry the last month and acorns are staring to fall off. Did some squirrel hunting with my 80 year old grandfather who still loves to small game hunt more then anyone I know. Drove to the annual camping spot on Monday evening. Looks the same. Saw some deer right off the park on 39 as well. I'll prob hunt our family farm/lease that weekend but ill def come into camp. Always a blast.

Didn't get to make last years hunt due to the wifes work schedule. Hopefully it want get in the way this year.

Glad to see the hunt has been moved back. Not much fun sweating while hunting.

Well John,

I just found out that I'm going to be in the Indy area the week of Oct. 21st for a business trip.  I'll have to see if I can extend it out and make this gathering.  Don't know if I'll be able to hunt but it would be fun to just be there for the company.

10 day forecast says clear and cold.  Perfect early rut weather if you ask me.  The bucks ought to be running through those saddles a few times a day.  We need to be there when they do!

Well all my stuff is laid out ready for heading down tonight.  I hope to get out of here early today and be able to see to set up camp.  Bro Mike is gonna be down tonight also.  I got a new zero degree bag and Mike has the little buddy heater primed for keeping the tent warm.  See y'all down there!

I may leave a little early for work tonight to stop by and say hi to everyone who is planning on arriving early. John and others planning on coming.

The Forestry inside the camping area, and in some of the trails in some spots is a mess. The Forest Service is currently logging and recently tore down one of the older shelter areas. The area where we usually set up is still pristine though.

Also the policy on the wood that the Forestry sells is only available between Monday-Friday during their business hours which I believe is from 8:30-4:30.

I'm planning on coming out tomorrow evening after I catch a few Zzzz's from having to work tonight, but have a feeling that it's gonna be a COLD weekend which will be a HUGE change from SIBH's from the past. Can't wait to chat with everyone old and new who can make it out. Safe travels to all who are coming and hope to meet and share camp with some new TGer's to the SIBH.

I'll be there Saturday night to hang in camp for a while.

Me and a friend will drive up Saturday morning.
Will camp for Saturday night, but probably hunt private land nearby on Saturday night and Sunday morning. Other than that, I am looking forward to some cool and hopefully quiet weather....
