So I have been shooting this bow for over a year and I have never changed the shelf pad. I just got some new woodies and noticed this issue. The wear is on the outside (left) edge of the shelf. What does this say about my setup. 62" Whip HS 53# @ 28" with 70-75 surewoods/145g points.
Does this say something about my arrow spine?

You didn't happen to go from left wing feathers to right wing with the new arrows did you? I have similar wear to what you describe and that was what a friend thought it might be. Just a guess though.

I had the same problem when I first got in to Trad Archery. A Bowyer friend said my nock point was too low. Dang if he wasn't right. I raised it and the problem went away. Maybe thats it ??

... and the elbow of your drawing arm may be too high??

From My experience, I'd say your arrows are to stiff, but the problem is more likely too low a nock point. Raise your nock point and then try a 55-60 and 60-65 spine arrow and experiment with varying point weight. This is assuming your drawing 53 lbs.

I would agree about the low nock point, I recently did some serving work on my bow and forgot to mark my nocking point, when I started shooting after this I noticed my arrows were kicking to the left on release, after looking at my felt rest pad I noticed the same thing you did, I guess the arrow was hitting the pad and causing the kick, I raised my nock point slightly and everything is fine again. Hope everything works out for you.
