Has anybody ever used 2016 aluminum footing on an Axis 400 shaft? I know most recommend 2018 but all I have is 2016, I know they are just a tad loose, but would a little extra JB Weld take care of that? Thanks and God Bless, Steve

Yes, they work just fine for me.

I've been using them for years now, 3 inches of 2016 footed onto the Easton Axis 400 shaft, glued with JB Weld, with a 100 grain brass insert and a Grizzly Grande 190 two blade on top of a 125 grain steel insert.

With a 70# ACS-CX longbow they will blow through both sides of a hollow cement block with no damage to the shaft.  Awesome combination.
