Vermonster
You're talking about the killer material in Swan right?

I'm shooting great plains 59# recurve. What weight should I go with the Swan?

vermonster13

What are you shooting for arrows now? Do you want to buy new arrows or use what you have.(this goes for the ACS also)

I am shooting 60-65 11/32's cedar arrows from lyn down in Arkansas.

vermonster13

They are going to be way to weak on a Swan or ACS at 58#s.

MountainTool21

What would you suggest then

vermonster13

You want to stay with wood?

Yes, but I do run Carbon Express 4560's thru my Great Plains 59#. Will those go thru a Swan of similar draw weight?

MountainTool21

I also run Heritage 250's thru the Great Plains

vermonster13

You can try some real light tips. But I think you'll need a heavier spine.

MountainTool21

so 65-70's or heavier

Damn, that is a heavy spine. What size of cedar are you running thru your swan? what are your swan specs again?

vermonster13

I gave up on wood with it and the ACS. My swan pulls 53.5 at my draw and so does the ACS. I have been shooting 350s and Trad heavies with 200 up front. Going to give Axis 400s a try soon.

I think I have to change from the 350's too.  Let me know how the Axis 400s turn out David.

Anyone shooting GT7595? I have one that is 60# and was thinking of going to these. The 5575s shoot weak if I get up above 160gr. for tip weight.
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.
