Bud B.

I was finally able to mount a bow rack today that I made about 6 months ago. My wife "let me" put it at the top of the stairs. We don't use the upstairs for much now other than storage since both daughters are grown, gone, and each have husbands.

One problem....the rack is already full and I have some bows still needing a spot of their own....in the 6 month wait I bought more bows.    :banghead:

Oh well. Back to the work bench I guess. (another six months procrastination project)

Nice job on the rack! I was thinking of doing something similar. Currently I'm using my basement wall that has 1x4's going vertical. They are about 4'apart. I wrapped old t-shirts around the nail which is on an angle. How do you prefer them hanging vertically as opposed to horizontally? Pros, cons?

Thank you
Mike

I think I need to make one also but before I do I am going to make myself decide just how many bows will be in my final herd.

Then I can then sell off any bow that doesn't have a place on the rack....lol(yeah that's gonna happen)

God bless,Mudd

The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.

I really don't see too much difference in hanging them vertically or horizontally. This way is just easier for me and tends to have more room and with one peg per bow. Horizontally would require more wood materials and planning, such as for the SuperMag 48 and how extreme the tips come around and how short it is, versus a Hill style that needs little height for stacking and how long they are.

Very nice Bud!
Sorry to have complicated the situation but the bows I sent you seem to be liking the rack!

Dang Bud! How long does it take you to decide which one to use?   :dunno:

Ninth one from the right has been seeing most of the action of late. (HH Big 5)

I have a Carolina Night on the way from 7 Lakes that'll be the focus after that   ;)

Right now I need another 8 peg rack.

Ain't shooting trad bows fun!   :)

Yeah. I noticed the shelf is on the right ( I mean correct) side. They are easy to list in the classifieds   :)

I know what you mean about running out of room on your rack. I'm in the process of outfitting a Man Cave. I don't have enough gun or bow rack space, so I really like your bow rack. I guess now you need to find another blank wall.

Bud you need all those bows so you will have something to shoot all those arrows with. It is the most arrows I have seen for one person. I am jealous wish I had that many.LCH

That looks like a lot of left hand bows. If the wife says you have to sell off some to make room for more just let me know. I know a lefty that will buy any of them you don't want!  :)

Just when I thought I had seen all of your bows I spot one or two that I hadn't. Rock on Bud! Great job on the rack.
