Mr. fingers

I was in store today and stumbled upon the sharpeners looking for something to sharpen my 165 sharks. I know simmons recommends recommends a round style sharpener. The lansky were not flat like others I have seen but triangular and narrow they looked like it would work. Has anyone used one on simmons sharks and how did it work
Thanks

I hit mine first on the RADA wheel & then hone the finish on the 25 degree Landy sticks.  I bought the set that has both standard & ceramic.

The ceramic sticks are the final polish.  Entire process is maybe 7-8 minutes per head.  Very easy way to get concave or convex heads razor sharp & hunt-ready in a quick & efficient manner.

I did mine like this and invested in the holder and file.  I am pleased with the results. I switched to the tiger sharks.

I used to use the steel master but switched to the Razors edge and the hewlett jewel stick. There is a big differance.LCH

Sounds like the triangle shaped stones for serrated blades and yes they will work on the sharks.  I use a Lansky to sharpen my sharks to a hair popping edge and I just use the regular flat stones.  I just tilt them a bit so they sharpen the concave edge, but the triangle shaped stone will work great.  I am just working with what I have.

Where does one buy a razors edge and a Hewlett jewel stick.
And would a kme jig work as well I'd think with the roller you would not wear on the  clamp as you would with the razors edge.

Talk to Ron at KME. I think he's coming out with something that will do an awesome job on the Simmons heads.

KME has the jewelstik modified to fit in the knife sharpener. It is sweet!
