Received my first "real" longbow today. It's a Peregrine 2 piece takedown 62" 43#. Sorry about the poor quality pics that don't do it justice. Abe chooses real nice pieces of wood. I am glad it turned out looking surprisingly good despite my rather plain selection of woods. The grip fits perfectly and the 2 piece take down system is really well done. No play and looks like a one piece when assembled. Did I mention it shoots great as well?        :archer2:

Yes that takedown method is nice and you cant even tell its a 2 piece when you have it in your hand, also good looking bow.

Looks great.  What is the veneer?

I forgot to mention there are no veneers. They are red elm limbs under clear glass. These limbs pull very smooth to 28". Lots of power early in the draw like a very good pair of recurve limbs. My TT ILF longbow limbs noticeably stacks in the last few inches compared to the Cari-bow.

Sweet bow - shelf is on the right side to. A Cari-bow is at the top of my wish list.

The silver fox has got to be one of the best looking three piece longbow out there. Does it shoot as good as it looks?
