Help....I need some new refillable bag targets.  Who knows where to get some ?   :help:

I think Dicks or on ama-zon may have them, or hit up a tree farm and get some burlap bags, they work well also. I fill burlap with couch cushions and they work very well.

Got a big coffee house near you? Custom grind stuff?
Much heavier than your regular burlap feed sacks.
Cheap giveaways..sometimes couple dollars.

Kustom King has bag targets , I have one and it works great you can also try  Trendsetters bag targets .com they have the animal shaped bags. My bag is approximately 24x34. It says Third hand archery accessories on it so you might give that a try also.

I like the Ames target faces.  Just buy 2 and sew them together and end up with a target on each side.

Know anyone who raises horses?  They'll have plenty of bags you could probably get for nothing.  And, of course, U-Stuff-It sells them in a multitude of animal shapes as well as bags.

Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear carries them, you supply the stuffing

New plastic feed bags form the local feed store about $2.  Fill them with plastic grocery bags. Use a marking pen to draw circles or animal outlines. These are weatherproof and take thousands of shots.

I get mine at the Lakota Coffee shop in Columbia. 3 for $5. They are real nice and thick.

Then on my way back home I usually stop by Furniture Row and fill them with sheets on plastic wrap that their furniture comes covered with.

50 lb feed sacks from the farm supply work great.  The feed store near me sells them for 50 cents each, and the guys who work there were happy to save the plastic used to wrap pallets of fertilzer and such.  A week's worth of plastic filled up five bags.  Use a plastic zip tie to close the bags.  Like tmcnamara7 said, just use a marker to draw whatever target you want on the bag.  I traced the vital from a 3D deer target and made a template to use with my bags.  Works best if you draw your target before stuffing the bags.

If you don't like white, I've found the bags take spray paint pretty well.  Glossy finish seems to hold on longer than flat.  I've painted several up to look like the side of a deer.  When a bag starts to wear out, just stuff the whole thing into a new bag.

I am not sure what kind of connections you have there but as mentioned feed stores are a great avenue. Also a local stable may be able to give you some help as well.

I think Mike at Nocking Point has them.

Have you thought of coffee bean burlap sacks? I bought two from a flea market and went to the local grocery store and got three HUGE bags of free used shrink wrap.

I save one of my pigeon feed bags and stuff them with more feed bags, plastic grocery bags, packing material from boxes at work, etc.I press the filling down and close the end with a heavy zip tie.Great target to move around the yard or take with me if I'm going somewhere and will be able to shoot there.

Hoyt

I buy big croaker sacks..burlap bags at Rural Supply $2.00 ea.

TommyBoy

Mike at Nocking Point has them.  That's where I got my big'uns.

I get burlap bags from my local Farm and Fleet store.

joekeith

Well we don't have any coffee places around here, and the feed store uses all paper bags........
The wife keeps all the plastic bags she gets and she 's got a pile of 'em.
I'll give Mike at Nocking Point a call.  He's always quick and pleasant.
Hey Mudd,  I'd take a dozen or so of those bags if you happen to go after some more let me know.
Thanks guys...   :archer2:
