Judging by the number of posts lately involving formulas, calculations, tests, theories etc.., there apparently are no hunting seasons open anywhere!

LimBender

Worked up 6 arrows today!  :biglaugh:

I was thinkng the same thing Jim. I've been tinkering a lot lately....just to keep the trad juices flowing.

Roadkill

Just jackrabbits, yotes, marmots and ground squirrels.  Also does not seem to be much acrimony this month

All ways something to hunt around here.
You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.
Yip yipahooooo yipyipyip.

if I understand where your going with that I say your wrong about nothing to hunt because there is ALWAYS something in season or not even regulated and open all year.

but you may be right with that theory of not being able too hunt though because some guys its just too hot, some there's too many bugs and ticks, some have to do family stuff , and this is when most bow buying is done so you'll hear tech questions,,,, once hunting starts we'll hear all the which broadhead, which stand, which camo, my shooting is bad I'm quitting, can't find any blood, deer did this when I shot, and of course the first trad kill-- what's cool is everyone has a camera now .

Heck no Jim.

I am getting ready for my Wyoming hunt coming up in September and there is a lot of prep, purchases and dreaming going on here in N C.

Now I can understand the possible boredom there in "Loosiana" since it is so dang hot this time of year. In fact the only "huntin" I would be doing is looking for the TV remote, and that might be questionable.

I said there were apparently no hunting SEASONS open. Once Sept/Oct rolls around I bet most of the posts concerning mathematical formulas to find arrow drop in tenths of an inch at 17 1/2 yards, ----bow vs. ---- bow, kinetic energy variations caused by f.p.s. differences  between "skinny" and regular diameter shafts etc... will pretty well dry up.

VictoryHunter

Still mending a broken arm here so I can't even shoot! Just lots of day dreaming and watching hunting videos.
There is a place for all God's creatures....right next to the potatoes and gravy.

A thread about boredom is surely a symptom of boredom.

I was in the woods all yesterday morning checking cams, stands, etc. I started unlocking a LW Hand Climber to bring in and check out when I noticed about 5 ticks on my hand and sleeve. The seat was crawling with them. All down the channels, everywhere.

I left it and will have to take some homebrew Permethrin, spray it down and go back again later to get it.

Luke, you may be on to something. It's hard to be objective about yourself but I may just be bored and too lazy/too low an I.Q. to  to come up with a high-tech post.

gringol

I'm bored, too Jim.  Nothing wrong with that.  Set some cams last weekend, now not much to do but wait.

There's always bowfishing or just exploring some waterways by canoe  :dunno:

Rick, I still envy you your Sept. hunt in Wyoming but I will get away then myself. I am going back up to MT. for 10 days of fly fishing. I have a cabin in Seely Lake which is east and south a bit over the Mission Mts. from Ronan. I will get over to Dan's a couple of times to fish and bother him and shoot his stock bows unless he reads this and hides them. I am definitely looking forward to getting away from this heat. Best of luck again on your hunt and what's nice about cutthroat trout is you don't have to be lucky, they're hungry in September.

Bowwild

I cut and installed inserts in 2 dozen Axis n-Fused for my brother yesterday.

I'm headed to what many consider a bow hunter's paradise at month's end and I'm not even taking a bow.  I'll be watching over a party of 48 people. A few of them are going to hunt.

Theres other game besides white tails.
