Has anyone used the cheap slip on quiver they make? And what did you think?

I used one for alittle while, back in the 1970's, on my 50# Bear Alaskan.....

They didn't call the "Suicide" quivers for nothing!!!!!

They are pretty dangerous. We were using them in the 1970's too. We had a cut head, cut hand and a cut bowstring all on the same hunt. Gary

They make a hood for them....but there are much better choices. I use one now and then with rubber blunts when I stump shoot.

I plan on ordering one myself here pretty soon. Quivers are just to dang expensive so this is really my only option.

That is why I was thinking of one. Money is kinda of tight right now.

Make a PVC pipe back quiver, they can be made for under $25.00. Its a lot safer than getting hurt or damaging other things.

Surely they don't still make those things? I would imagine the attorneys lining up. Lol:)

No matter how "cheap" they are, they aren't worth the risk, besides not being a very good quiver to start with.  Having the arrow gripped at two spots makes getting an arrow out quickly and quietly a challenging task.  The hood only barely works and tends to be noisy.  Save your pennies and find a much better quiver for about the same money in the classifieds or auction site.
