RETARMY06

Greetings! I am just getting back into archery after decades away. I bought cedar arrows from 3 Rivers with field tips already mounted. But now I'm needing arrows with Zwicky Eskimo heads mounted on them.
As far as I can tell they don't provide broad-head mounting services. So, I can order arrows and broad-heads separately and mount them. What is a good strong adhesive for mounting broad-heads on cedar shafts WITHOUT USING HEAT? I am limited in how much equipment I have, just getting back into archery.
Any advice about mounting broad-heads would be appreciated too. Thanks!

Many folks use a two part epoxy. Just roll them or spin them before, setting them aside to dry.

I still use the heat, and stick glue.
Depending on what's needed a,small amount of heat, and you can switch points.

Only during practice where broadheads can be pulled off is something like epoxy really needed.

Whatever adhesive you decide to use make sure you clean the inside of the ferrule.  I use q-tips and alcohol.  You'll be surprised how much grime etc. you get out of them.

I like the hot melt glues. Doesn't take that much heat and makes point changes, adjustments very easy.

Welcome back!  Eric

if they glued them instead of hot melt they are trickier but hot melt I just use a lighter and pliers,,, I like my broadheads in the 11 o clock-5 o clock position so when I cant the bow the broadhead isn't as noticable to mess with my concentration.

epoxy works great and buys you alot of time to get them perfect like Eric said.
