Ron, I was hoping you were going to hunt with that Vortex. I wanted that bow so bad, it wasn't even funny.   :D  Would love to hear you tagged a whitetail with it. Good luck to you this season.

As requested , here is a pic. of my gear for the year which I won on the St. Judes auction, 69" 69 LB all Osage Hill style longbow. This combined with Lodgepole pine shafts and Hill heads should get it done nicely ( if the deer cooperate that is )   :biglaugh:   .

Wannabe1

Good looking bow! Love how that Osage darkened up like that.

Northern Mist Ottawa recurve 49#@28, Douglas fir arrows, Woodsman broadheads.

It's hunting season year-round in Fl.(for hogs and many small game species).

Daz

Ah, Moleman, you have my bow.
Nice to see she will be hunting this year. I did a swap with another TG'er earlier in the year, and i noticed he put it on St. Jude's.

I would have gladly bought her back, but if they aren't takedowns, i don't use them.

There are a lot of journeys on that bow, and she has seen some country, and is the most stable and forgiving bow i've ever owned

Enjoy.

Those Ottawa's are real good looking bows...     I'd like to try one of those at some point!

My main rig will be my Selway "Lil Magnum" 54# @28" shooting axis 400s tipped with either centaur battle axes, snuffers, or 200gr muzzy phantoms. Unless I get my Doug fir from Snag in time then I might be running them

Second setup is my Palmer Carbon 51@28 ill pry shoot 2117s with abowyer boneheads or bear greenies.

Both setups shoot any of my arrows great just a matter of picking up a bow grab some arrows and hit the woods!
All we have to decide is what to do with the time given to us.
