Wood or carbon? Bow quiver or back quiver? I like the ease of carbon and convienece of a bow quiver but wood is just too nice not to use and my self bow performs better when I use a back quiver. How bout ya'll?

I shoot both wood and carbon - I rarely shoot carbon, really like wood, like making them too. I use a bow quiver all the time, every bow, although sometimes I know I am out to have fun and want to shoot at squirrels and stuff so I bring a side or back quiver for extra shots.
I will say shooting carbon gets me shooting better, they are always the same, always weigh the same and the consistency can not be beat. When I shoot wood, each batch comes out a little different in weight, so each batch shoots a little different, I guess.

I only use wood arrows and self bows. I have a bow quiver, but I just can't seem to put it on one of the self bows and mar the natural beauty. I have a really cool side quiver that alleviates that problem. If you haven't checked out Raptor Archery's side quiver, give it a go. So much more convenient than a bow quiver and much less movement and quieter than a back quiver. I do use a back quiver for target practice when I want to fling dozens of arrows, though.

Bowwild

Hip quiver and carbon arrows.  I don't like the feel of a bow quiver especially when I hunt from trees most of the time.  I have a bow quiver on the bow it has to be quick detach and I simply take it off.

I may use a bow quiver on an October hunt in Alberta though because I won't be in a tree.

I actually prefer a Safari Tuff over the shoulder  quiver these days. I use it to carry arrows to and from my stands.

Goshawkin

Only wood arrows.
Catquiver when deer hunting from a treestand or turkey hunting. Stalking, small game hunting, stumping or 3-D,Hill style back quiver

JMG

Catquiver '2' or '3' with carbon arrows tipped with Hellfire 150 grain 4 blade broadheads for me.

Never shot a carbon arrow. By far my favorite combo is hickory arrows, back quiver, and osage selfbows... proven simple, durable, and deadly.

ronp

Not one of the choices but I prefer aluminum arrows and a side quiver (Arrowmaster for hunting).

Trying wood for the first time this year and I'm really excited! Bow quiver adds stability, absorbs some noise, and is one less thing to have to carry.

RecurveRookie

Only carbon arrows and only two quivers, GFA for hunting and (cheap) nylon back quiver for field points, both worn under right armpit, feathers forward.

Wood arrows and a bow quiver

I like the heavy, small dia. carbons for my recurves. Also like bow quivers..tried a shoulder quiver a little last season and didn't like it. Too much extra to think about...like not forgetting it and leaving it home. Just easier for me if the quiver is on the bow.

If I ever build a selfbow I'll shoot wood arrows.

gringol

Wood arrows for me.  Haven't found a quiver I really like yet, some have good qualities, but they all suck a little.

delongbows

Small diameter carbons and hip quiver for me.

Mr. fingers

Carbons and a bow quiver every year I try a non bow quiver from hip back and cat but always end up.going going back to the bow quiver. I'm on big'm Jim's list list for a new longbow. And I really don't want to put a quiver on it so I may try a arrow master or a dawgware or a arrow mate. Or I may just get a big jim bow quiver
