One of our own is sitting pretty this morning very near the top of the alternates list for the 2013 New Hampshire Moose Lottery. I'll leave it to him to decide whether to reveal his identity.

That would be me!!! I certainly wish nothing bad upon anyone who has drawn a permit.......but as the THIRD alternate I feel pretty good. Now it's a matter of playing a waiting game for the next month or so........wish me luck!

Dave: Laura was #17 on the alternates list and she was drawn. That's the year I finally connected. You WILL be offered a tag somewhere. When Laura got on the list I called and they said that they average at least 50 changes before the season starts. Hard part is that you don't get a choice about which zone....have to take what you get. If you get E1 I have a tree that you can sit next to and get a moose. Laura had one eye ball to eye ball at 10 yards when I sat here there. Good luck and stay in touch.

Yeah Bill, that's the key as I see it, where the tag is that I get offered. The other issue? I now  NEED A NEW BOW!!!!  The consequences of getting a tag!

Last year I was like #37 non-resident alternate but only got up to about #30.  I'm real certain you will be contacted about a tag.  Good luck.

I've got several bows 60+, I also have a Dalaa riser with the limbs on it that I killed my moose with. Want to borrow it....no problem.
