I have fought with woodies for a while now.  First issue was after buying some POC was durability or lack there of. I then got a doz shafts from Kootenai river about 7 month ago and they all held up great but I couldn't get them to fly as I built them myself and am not good at it yet.

So I have been shooting carbons and I LOVE how they fly. But I kept wanting some good woods.

I got ahold of Jonathan at Kootenai last Saturday and ordered a doz of his economy shafts. I told him my bow style and draw weight and let him go from there. A doz of his economy shafts all made up are only $55 plus shipping so I figured id go for it.

Well they arrived today!!! And they are great. Plus he sent me two of his "high bird" arrows which are western larch footed with ironwood, and talk about a hard hitter!!!

I am very impressed with the doz shafts I orderd a while ago and this dozen is even better as he made them up for me.

What's the weight on the western larch?  I'm loving my surewood douglas fir, but wouldn't mind if they were a little lighter.

Your new side stalker is a beauty! I ran several searches and couldn't find anything comparible. Could you post contact info. for the maker.
Thank you much.

I just received my set of kootenai's economy arrows as well and have to second the quality. They fly fantastic, especially for the price! I will admit that I missed and slammed one of them into my wood fence, the arrow held up perfectly (the only thing hurt was my pride). I am so happy I ordered them and will definitely buy more if I ever need arrows - maybe get some of his nicer ones to hunt with...

Blaine,
Glad you picked some up.  Im still learning how to order woodies and figuring out what i need for spine, but these came in really good.  Im still not use to the flight difference from the woods and my carbons, but I have some different points coming and Ill see if that works.

they do take a beating.

In regards to the quiver. its made by High noon leather.  I bought it second hand so sorry i don't have more info.
